Awkward And Awesome 6/19/12

awkward.

1. buying a gallon of milk at a gas station at 10:05 pm.
2. yelling really loudly to get someone's attention, but they don't hear/notice.
3. sleeping on my floor because my bed is filled with clothes, cards, paper, and tons of junk. (we're moving!)
4. packing my rain boots in a box with kitchen stuff, because they fit there.
5. Playing ultimate frisbee and twisting my ankle... again. Last time it happened was back in April, but it was still slightly swollen/bruised. My doctor told me I could never be an ankle model- oh bummer.

awesome.

1. serving at the coffee shop at church. It's almost like Starbucks ;)

2. getting my grandpa hooked on Nerf gun stuff.

3. Graduating with my AA and 3.94 GPA

4. having SOO many people I love at my grad party.

5. the thought of learning how to do latte art someday

Awkward & Awesome 6/12/12

My wonderful friend, Leah, started doing a blog post about the awkward and awesome in her life. Every time I read her posts, I get all happy inside. So I'm going to start doing it too! I'll post five things awkward and five things awesome that have happened in the past week. Starting now.

awkward:

-this picture from pinterest
-putting on cold deodorant
-wearing a North Dakota shirt and having someone say, "Go Buffaloes!" and then me not knowing what they're talking about.
-kicking a bathroom door open with my foot while someone is on the other side..oops. (I don't like touching the doors with my hands, and the handicapped button wasn't working.)
-*passing someone from my chemistry class from two years ago* Him: Do I know you?
Me: I don't know. (I wanted to add: 'do you?' to the end, but I didn't)
Him: Anywaaays, have a nice day.
Me: You too.
I don't know what was more awkward: the conversation or me being able to remember him. I can remember so many people from all my classes. I remember faces. Maybe not people's names, but I can remember your whole life story if you did a speech on it in communications class...

 awesome:

-watching my friends graduate high school :)
-being done with microbiology and my awkward professor in 2 days!!!
-graduating and getting my associates of arts in 3 days!!!
-having fun backstage before my choir concert: singing random songs altogether.
-having my computer die (not awesome) but somehow it was able to save my crazy unknown bacteria assignment! hallelujah!

*I know. I know. I have 6 awesome things. Deal with it.

Roy: another little town in Washington & a Rodeo

Don't blink! Because if you do, you might drive right through Roy without realizing it.

Who knew there could be cowboys/cows/country/horses/hats/bulls/roping/rodeoing in Washington.
:)

 friends. friends.

 friends. friends. friends.

There should be a contest in the US for the coldest rodeo weather, because I think this one would win.
While it's in the 80s and 90s in most of the US, Washington has been liking the 50s and low 60s.

Love (shall I dare say it...?) y'all!
I think I need to go wash my mouth out now. (;

Yay! glare-y glasses... :\

A cabin retreat in a little Washington town

We had so much fun on this little getaway! Our first stop was this cute shack where we all bought shakes :)

Alyssa and Leah's peanut butter shakes were abbreviated: pea butt ;) Haha.

We took crazy pictures in pitch darkness (This is one of them).

And another (;

We stayed toasty warm when the fire was going!

:D

Cutest little town called Index.

Lunch: pesto bagel yummmm

Delicious (and free) truffles and chocolate covers coffee beans (!)

No, we didn't go rafting. We'll save that for another day ;)

Jacuzzi, anyone? :)

You all are the best of friends. I will miss you dearly when we move! :(
