today! finally! it was warm enough to run outside, and oh how wonderful it felt. 

it may not look warm (due to the picture), but it was sunny and the snow was melting. 

so trust me, it was warm. :)

 

i dropped my stuff off at the gym, changed, put my ear buds in, turned on pandora and ran to wherever my heart desired (all over campus). 

the first song that started playing was the song i quoted above.

kinda perfect? i think so.

awkward and awesome 3/26/13

+aaa batteries in my pocket for a couple day because my calculator said it was about to die. a month later, it's still "about to die."

+i was on my phone for awhile. *no one texts me*

go paint my nails for 5 minutes and come back. *8 text messages*

+passing an 18-wheeler truck with pigs inside. The driver looks over and give me a creepy smile, "mwahaha, you're probably a vegetarian," he thinks. disclaimer number one: i might have imaged that evil smile. disclaimer number two: i'm not exactly a vegetarian.

+a three hour chemistry lab. also known as death.

+it's spring here! just kidding... it's not. 3 days last week had below zero lows.

+my boss and i were locked out of work because the door was frozen shut. an hour, police, knife, and some other stuff later, we finally get in. i mentioned using a hair dryer. no one bought it. oh well.

+a 9am test the day we get back from spring break. "you have lots of time to sudy," she said.

+the test above being postponed because a blizzard came through and school was actually cancelled. that's a first. sniking it is!

+the plans coming together for this summer! i know it's vague but i don't want to say anything til it's official.

+hearing people speak german at a rest stop. :)

+i made a guy a coffee and he ended up being my bus driver.

+things that remind me of europe like the chocolate croissant i ate last week.

+using the snow as a personal cooler for my soda. #squirrelskills

we're about a week into spring, and it's still quite chilly here. 

some may complain, but i think this winter wonderland is starting to grow on me...

even when a blizzard comes through town, we (usually) still have class.

 just lock your bike up on 2 feet of snow. that works.

but when we don't have school (because a blizzard comes through town) we go snow hiking. 

also known as sniking.

 then we find this fort from last time, and realize it's buried 3 feet deep in snow.

so we spend time shoveling it all out with sticks and a 5 gallon bucket.

 then, we chill.

 i'm not praying for it, but i don't mind it either.

+a coffee shop whose espresso machines are down. well, it's a good thing I didn't want any, well, I did but I gave it up for lent.

+waking up one minute before my alarm. this actually happens quite frequently.

+tip: when you're in a rush getting ready for the day like glueing the cut on your finger shut and putting contacts in, MAKE sure you wait til the glue is dry. when there's a battle between superglue and contacts, the superglue always wins. always. (i wore glasses that day.)

+icicles on snow. apparently that can happen.

+being totally happy and content when the pool locker rooms have shower water a few degrees above 32... last time it wasn't. 

+studying on a saturday evening

i'm not biting my nails; it just looks like i am.

+spring break is right around the corner! woot woot :)

+finishing the book mere christianity by c. s. lewis. wow, that guy's legit. his points are great, and the illustrations are fantastic. read it if you haven't, or read it again.

+time spent with friends. i know that's vague, but it's very true!

+eating pizza sauce on a red futon- no skills required.

new favorite food: tofu & provolone with italian seasoning on toast (and tons of sauce).
