Water Is Colored

In my "free" time, I enjoy painting like an amateur. :)

I love this one! So peaceful...

I painted this using the bottom picture as a guide. As you can see, the two pics are swopped. Oops!

This is a picture of a wallet from Fossil

French Manicured fingers
:)
As you all don't know, my birthday was a few days ago; and so, my dear mother let me get a french manicure. :D It was my first experience at a nail salon. Haha (And I'm 18 :O *gasp*) That's alright. I don't mind, but I did enjoy my time there while it lasted :). Sometime this summer we'll go together and both get pedicures! I love you, mom!

Busy Procrastinator

Life is full of business. That I know; I don't even have a paying job to deal with...

Papers due, reading assignments, studying work, volunteering, exercising, and living for God. Don't get me wrong, business is a good thing. Without it, all would be boring.

The picture above is one that I took in Tacoma. I love the stringed lights, front porch, and landscaping.

I hope my future husband doesn't mind a girly touch to the decorating. ;) I like a antique/rustic look, but I also like God's sunlight shining through. Hmm... to think, what if I NEVER have a place of my own. What if I went straight from under the roof of my parents to a place to share with my husband. I honestly don't think I would mind. It's normal for me to share a house :)

I love the plants! Bringing some nature indoors in fabulous :)

Okay, back to my paper. I'm praying for success!

Until next time.

HisStory.

"You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you for I am fearfully a wonderfully made." -Psalm 139:13

I, along with every human being, am a product of God's craftsmanship. He is an all knowing and endless God. No one will never be able to comprehend his wonderful majesty.
He's writing my life story right now. I want to right a little about my past.

I've "grown up" in 9 different houses- not because my dad doesn't have a stable job, but because I'm an Army brat. That's right, an Army brat :) I can't complain. In fact, I LOVE it! Moving around is the only life I've known, and therefore it's comfortable. I was born in Minnesota and became a world traveler by moving to South Korea at the tender age of 2 WEEKS :) After living there for about 8 months, My mom and dad moved to Alaska. When I was almost 2, my mom gave me a younger brother. We packed up a month later and traveled to Maryland (living in 2 different houses for 2 years each). After Maryland, HAWAII :D We were blessed enough to live there for SIX WHOLE YEARS. Half of my childhood only knew flip-flops... or in Hawaii, they call them rubba slippas (slippas for short). Hawaii is where my other 2 brothers were born. Texas was next on His plan. Then, Germany. We did SO much European traveling in those 2.5 short years. We're currently living in Washington State.

One of the beautiful views on Mt. Rainier, WA.

Another.

Mt. Rainier, an active volcano that could blow at any moment.

Being involved in church has always been important to us. During Awana (age 7), I accepted Jesus into my heart, and I have been thankful for Him ever since.

Until next time.

That's a first.

Hello all...

I'm creating this blog because of a few reasons.

1. I'm becoming obsessed with reading other people's blogs. So, I thought, "Why not start my own?" :)

2. Writing my thoughts and interests down is important to me. I do keep a journal, but spelling is NOT my strong suit; therefore, a internet/computer blog will be able to spell for me :) Anyone reading my (hand written) journal in the future will have to read it with caution! [Beware] I've had people compliment on my handwriting more than a couple times, so I AM disappointed in the way that the computer world is leaving out handwriting. :( Handwriting can tell you a lot about a person: Whether or not they're sloppy, neat, organized, creative or thoughtful.

My current journal

3. A journal is wonderful most of the time. But sometimes, photography and 'internet art' make memories fonder.

4. Email and Facebook is great (don't get me wrong), but some of the time, I just want to say something once and not repeat myself over and over and over.

I named my blog "A rose with happiness", because my name is, for the sake of this blog, Rose, and roses are so beautiful! Happiness because of two reasons. The movie, Pursuit of Happyness, was so good that I decided to use the word happyness, but I spelled it correctly by changing the 'y' to 'i': Happiness. Also, I am a happy girl. It is by GRACE I have been saved through faith. I can't do anything to save myself. He is too perfect, and I'm too sinful. He lights up my world everyday, and I strive to be a witness for Him. You could say I have joy (attitude of the heart), while happiness is an emotion and temporary. I chose 'happiness' because I like how the word sounds. So, just know that I'm more joyful than happy... if that makes sense.

Summer 2008. I took this picture while living in Germany.
It's the courtyard of a castle on the Rhine River.

And so the adventure of the blog world begins...

Until next time.
